  • Q: What does hands-free usage mean?

A: Most motorized batting cages are top frame. They require the net to be lowered to waist height, net unstrapped, then the system is raised to the usage height. The opposite must be done to retract the cage. Grand Slam Safety’s batting cage only needs the turn of a key to be ready or be retracted. The bottom frame rests on the ground or ~¼” off of it, completely containing the system.

    Q: Why is a bottom-frame system safer?

A: The bottom-frame system is safer for two primary reasons. 1. It provides a much higher level of containment compared to hanging netting, which hard hit balls can escape from. 2. Since there’s no excess net resting on the ground, you remove a significant tripping & slipping hazard, especially on gym floors.

Q: Is a three phase motor really better?

A: Yes, not only should it be more durable and have a better lifespan, it is also more efficient from an electrical usage standpoint. Most importantly, it provides a faster moving system, reducing turnaround time, while increasing programming and revenue options.
