Mickey is a licensed civil engineer whose day job is working on municipal water and sewage systems. These projects protect our lakes and rivers and provide safe drinking water to local communities. His expertise helps in the development of new products, setting up corporate protocols, and establishing the vision for Grand Slam Safety, LLC.
The manufacturing sector has gone through significant decline in northern New York and Mickey brings a vision to change that. He sees Grand Slam Safety, LLC as an important provider of jobs and resources for the people in his community.
Mickey serves on several boards and committees. He is the vice chair of the Lewis County Industrial Development Agency, as well as on the board of Carthage Federal Savings & Loan. Mickey is also an adviser for “Project Lead the Way” at Carthage Central School. He is a former board member for the Village of Croghan, and part owner of an engineering company that employees several local people. He is involved with several local charities as well.
Mickey is married and has four children. His youngest son suffered from renal failure and received a kidney transplant from his oldest son. Mickey is also a cancer survivor. He enjoys all sporting events and outdoor recreational activities.
